Feshiebridge & Insh
|Road: Travelling by car is the best option to visit this part of the Spey Valley. Both Insh and Feshiebridge are out in the country, and can only be reached by car or by foot. Approximate travelling time from Edinburgh & Glasgow is 2 hours 30 minutes. Kincraig can also be reached by public transport.|
|Directions from the South:
Take the A74/M74, which is a continuation of the M6, towards Glasgow. M73/M80 past Cumbernauld, towards Stirling. M80 becomes M9, towards Perth. From Perth, take the A9 towards Inverness. Turn off at Kingussie/Wildlife Park sign. Not the Newtonmore/Kingussie sign. Turn left, onto the B9152, into Kingussie for Insh. Turn right, onto the B9152, away from Kingussie for Kincraig & Feshiebridge.
Kincraig: is 5 miles along the B9152.
Insh: Turn left, opposite the Duke of Gordon Hotel, onto the B970. Go over the railway crossing, and continue on B970 for 5 miles to Insh.
Feshiebridge: turn right on reaching Kincraig, at junction. Travel down through Kincraig, over the bridge, past Loch Insh Watersports. Turn left at 'T' Junction, and follow the B970 until reaching Feshiebridge.
Take Note: The A9 has effective speed cameras. There is dual carriageway on leaving Perth, near to Pitlochry and again over Drumochter. Being an A road, there are turnings off, and across the A9, with no decelerating/accelerating lanes.
