Safety First

We want you to really enjoy your winter experience whilst you are visiting this area of natural beauty, so please, heed the advice freely given and stay safe.

You will find advice on the back of the Piste Map from Cairngorm Mountain, and from anyone involved in winter sports activities.

Be prepared for any eventuality.  Weather conditions change quickly in mountainous regions.

If you are heading for the ski slopes, make sure you come prepared with a warm woolly hat, ski gloves, goggles or sunglasses, good wind and waterproof clothing, sunscreen and warm ski socks.   If you don't have the gear, this can be hired locally, very easily.

By being prepared, we know you will enjoy the last run home which can be the most exhilarating of the day, with the sun setting over the Cairngorms and the face tingling from the fresh mountain air.

Along with the Ski Patrol, take in the fantastic views around you, and enjoy.

If you are heading out into the hills, please let someone know your route, car registration number, time of expected return and any other details e.g. a medical condition of anyone in your party, that would be needed to help people find you and help you if you get stuck.
